I was standing in my local fish and chips shop recently, ok not so phabulous at all… But here goes, despite my tawdry surrounding of plastic red table coverings and an ambience created by the cashier screaming orders of fish to ladies at the back of the shop and the smell of stale oil. Something even more ghastly caught my eye, naturally!
A white and gold handbag, it was at this very moment that I remembered just how much I despise white handbags. This potentially destructive memory drove me to some soul searching and meditation.
I realised that just because one lady who I should probably have tried to help with my expert eye, could not choose a not so tacky looking white handbag does not mean that I should tarnish the reputation of all white handbags…forever!
While I do maintain ladies, and gentlemen of course, when choosing a white handbag one needs to be wary of the style, embellishments and overall image it could add to any outfit, I have seen a couple of chic white handbags in my day. On this note I conclude that the trick when choosing any fashion accessory, is to stop, and think about the kind of image it could potentially portray.
